SOFTWARE & SUPPORT

The right tools.
For your chain.

Use a node, Gateway, miner and wallet compatible with Bitcoin (BTC). Hosted Stratum lets you start without running your own node.

Bitcoin · SHA-256

Use a synced Bitcoin node and a SHA-256 DATUM Gateway. Astraeus's hosted reference uses Bitcoin Knots 29.3 and the OCEAN Gateway source revision linked below. Match your node to the Bitcoin network you intend to mine.

The pinned Knots release is configured with rdts_consent_flag=3 for Astraeus's Bitcoin mainnet node, without BIP110 enforcement. This setting is specific to that release; review chain selection before changing node versions.

Before connecting your own Gateway.

  1. Sync your node and configure the Gateway’s connection to that node.
  2. Choose one of Astraeus’s payout presets and use a wallet address for the selected chain.
  3. Copy the current coordinator hostname, port and full public key from the setup page.
  4. Restart the Gateway, connect your miner to its local Stratum endpoint, and confirm accepted shares under the expected payout address.

The references above document the hosted setup. They are not a claim that every hardware model, firmware or Gateway version has been tested. Astraeus’s pool software remains experimental; its public block and work history is available on the Challenge page.
